Messier 100

Charles Messier was an astronomer born in France in 1730. He is famous for his astronomical catalogue, which lists 110 bright star clusters, nebulae and galaxies which are now referred to as the Messier objects.

Only 100 of these objects are visible to those who live in the southern hemisphere. Take a look below at my attempts to capture all visible objects and how I did it.

Keep an eye out on this page as the years go on, as I capture and log them below!

Messier objects 40, 52, 81, 82, 97, 101, 102, 103, 108, and 109 are NOT visible in the southern hemisphere and will not be displayed.
